The HSE have confirmed that no changes are to be made to the current LOLER regulations in regards to thorough examinations on lifting equipment. Unlike MOT inspections, where allowances have been made, operators and owners are still required by law to ensure that their machinery is kept in safe working condition and also that the equipment is thoroughly inspected.
